Christian Klings - Some Initial Scans

a virtual workshop for watchmakers and clockmakers

Postby dmgreen11 » Mon May 03, 2010 9:00 pm

Hello.

A regular visitor but first-time poster here.

A process which began nearly 2 years ago with my first communications to Christian Klings is, to my excitement, nearing its completion.

Here are a few scans which show various aspects of creating the timepiece, as well as at least part of the finished product. More to come shortly.

Hope you enjoy.

Darren

Hello all.

Here are some additional scans of the timepiece. Very much looking forward to its arrival.

Movement deconstructed (parts made by Christian on the left, with parts modified and finished by Christian on the right)

Will post more later - Photobucket's a bit finicky right now.

Very interesting, at first i thought this was going to be one of his tourbillon watches. Was the base movement an A.Schild? Looks very similar to a few movements i serviced during school, great movements.

BTW the pictures are working fine for me.

Hi Darren,

Thanks so much for posting these pics of your new watch. I look forward to seeing more when Photobucket is behaving. ;-)

Do you have any under the dial pics of the completed watch? When are you expecting it on your wrist?

Cheers,

Curtis
