No, I haven't heard from him, yet. I emailed him shortly after the earthquake, but imagine there are other more pressing concerns for him - even in Tokyo.

I hope, as we all do, he safe and well and that we hear from him soon.

Now Tokyo is OK.
I am working as usual in Tokyo.
The nuclear power plant crisis has not gone, but we feel the worst might be over.
We Japanese are doing our best.
